I am a wife, mother, and 4th grade teacher with a passion for cake decorating! Growing up, my mom made all of our birthday cakes, using shaped pans showing our favorite characters or hobbies. I loved watching her decorate, and for my 9th birthday, I asked if I could ice my own birthday cake. She mixed up several pastel colors, put the icing into bags for me, and let me go to town! Needless to say, it looked more like a graffiti-covered wall than a birthday cake, but I was hooked.
As I got more interested in cake decorating, my mom started to let me make my siblings' birthday cakes. When I was in middle and high school, a good friend of the family let me bake and decorate with her, showing me what she'd learned in her Wilton cake classes. That is as far as my "training" goes... the rest of what I know, I learned from experience!
I have always enjoyed decorating cakes as a hobby and now feel very blessed to be starting my own little cake business. As a type-A perfectionist, I can assure you that your cake will truly be a work of art!
